This is a rare opportunity to build a centralised supply chain and procurement function from the ground up for Built Living. You will shape how we secure the trades, materials, components and services needed to deliver quality homes faster, with greater certainty and at scale. 

The Opportunity 

Reporting to the Head of Construction, you will establish and lead the supply chain and procurement function across our integrated design, manufacturing and construction business. You will create the operating model, supplier ecosystem and commercial approach that give Built Living greater buying power, cost visibility, supply certainty and consistency across projects. 

In this role, you will: 

• Design and implement a centralised supply chain and procurement operating model, including category structures, governance, systems and reporting 

• Develop end-to-end strategies across subcontract trades, building materials, manufactured components and logistics 

• Lead major sourcing, tendering and negotiation activity, including long-term agreements, supplier panels and rate cards 

• Drive value through aggregation, standardisation, direct sourcing, forward buying and make-versus-buy analysis 

• Build a high-performing supplier and trade partner network measured against cost, quality, delivery, capacity, safety and sustainability 

• Partner with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and Delivery to embed cost, availability, lead time and buildability into decisions early 

• Protect continuity of supply through capacity planning, dual sourcing, forward contracting and proactive risk management 

• Build the team, processes and supplier ecosystem required to scale the function as Built Living grows 

 
What we are looking for  

You are a senior procurement or supply chain leader who combines deep market knowledge with the commercial capability and practical mindset to build a function from the ground up. 

• Senior procurement or supply chain leadership experience in construction, residential development, manufacturing or a vertically integrated builder 

• Strong knowledge of Australian building trades, materials and supplier markets 

• Proven experience centralising a fragmented or project-led procurement model and building teams and systems 

• Demonstrated commercial value through complex negotiations, sourcing and category management 

• Strong financial capability across cost modelling, landed cost, budgets, contract risk and executive reporting 

• A collaborative approach and the ability to influence across design, manufacturing, construction, commercial and finance teams 

• Exposure to DfMA, modular, prefabricated or off-site manufacturing, residential delivery, ERP implementation or international sourcing will be highly regarded
