The Opportunity

Step into a dynamic role where your expertise in cost estimation, risk assessment, and stakeholder collaboration will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects.

As an Estimator at Built, you will:

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates using market data and subcontractor input.
• Review tender documentation to identify risks and opportunities, contributing to Built's commercial edge.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing.
• Develop preliminaries by incorporating logistics plans, schedules, and other key project requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen tender submissions, identifying value-add opportunities to differentiate Built from competitors.

Your day-to-day will be centered around working with a supportive team of experts, utilizing cutting-edge tools and market insights while actively contributing to the financial and operational success of groundbreaking projects. Success in this role means delivering accurate, comprehensive cost estimates and mitigating risks to strengthen Built’s position in the marketplace.

What we are looking for

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring the following skills, attributes, and qualifications to the table:

Qualifications & Experience

• A relevant trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a comparable estimating role, ideally within the construction industry.
• Proven expertise in preparing accurate cost estimates, risk assessments, and budget development.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong relationships management, with experience collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and methodologies.
• Commercial acumen to identify risks, opportunities, and value-add options in tender submissions.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to meet critical deadlines.
• A growth mindset, with a passion for delivering results and striving for continuous improvement.
