About the Built Cadetship Program

Built’s Cadetship Program gives you real project experience while you study, helping you build confidence and gain clarity on your future pathway.

As a Cadet, you will:

  • Apply your university learning on real commercial construction projects
  • Gain exposure across the full design and construction lifecycle
  • Contribute to meaningful project work from day one
  • Develop practical, job‑ready skills in:
    • Virtual design and digital engineering
    • Estimating and cost planning
    • Construction delivery and site coordination
    • Design coordination and client interaction
  • Receive coaching, structured learning and mentoring from senior leaders
  • Build strong technical capability and communication skills
  • Understand how different disciplines connect and where your strengths lie

By completing the program, you’ll have a solid foundation in commercial construction, a growing network and clear visibility of future opportunities, including the Built Graduate Program.


Work While You Study

The Cadetship Program is designed to fit alongside your university commitments. Cadets work minimum 2 days per week, giving you the chance to apply your learning in real time without compromising your studies.


What We’re Looking For

We are seeking motivated students who:

  • Are in their minimum 2nd year of a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or another related field
  • Are curious, driven and eager to learn
  • Enjoy problem solving and collaborative teamwork
  • Communicate well and build strong relationships
  • Are ready to start from May 2026 onwards.
