An opportunity, Built for you

As the HSE System Manager you will lead the implementation, improvement and maintenance of established health, safety & environment programs to support a National HSE Team and the successful delivery of large-scale, significant construction projects.

• Preferably you will have experience in a dynamic work environment with a construction related background.  Ideally you will enjoy the journey of collaborative and creative solution development to simplify established processes and provide alignment to certifications and company goals. Experience instilling a culture of proactive risk management within the organisation including developing and implementing systems and framework to drive behavioural change.

Here’s what a typical day might look like for you:

• Support the implementation of health, safety & environment enhancement programs and innovation.
• Develop creative and comprehensive training materials.
• Deliver training sessions to enhance workforce safety awareness and implementation effectiveness.
• Assist in the refinement and improvement of risk management systems in order to increase risk maturity.

Your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities aimed at ensuring a safe working environment, including; implementation audits, trend analysis, training, system development, compliance simplification, and providing expert guidance to support the culture of safety in the HSE Team and across operational construction sites.

Reporting to the National System, Audit and Compliance Manager you will be based in Sydney head office with some interstate travel required.

• Experience with OFSC and ISO audits and requirements.
• An analytical mindset and Microsoft suite capability.
• Experience in drafting, improving and implementing policies and procedures related to health, safety & environment in construction.
• Highly developed communication skills and robust stakeholder engagement ability.
