A Services Manager role, built for you 

 

As a Services Manager in Built’s Construction business unit, you’ll manage and deliver the services works on a high-profile mixed-use Retail/Commercial project valued at approx $500M. And with $4.5 billion of secured work in our pipeline, you’ll have endless opportunities to grow your career.

 

Built’s Construction team are currently involved in multiple projects ranging from $50M to $1 billion, with an enthusiastic individual invited to join the team immediately.

 

Our Services Managers are responsible for efficiently coordinating the building services components and associated works of a major construction project. You will assist the project teams in understanding and solving services and design issues and you will also contribute to business development activities throughout the conversion process.

 

The successful candidate will work with all relevant project staff but most

closely with the incumbents in the following roles as applicable for a project:

 

  • Construction Manager
  • Project Managers
  • Project Engineers
  • Services Engineers
  • Quantity Surveyors

Here are the essentials you’ll need for this role:

  • Previous experience as a Services Manager within the construction industry
  • Previous experience working with a 1st tier building contractor on large scale and major projects
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Experience in design and construction/installation
  • Experience in commissioning of all services

  • Demonstrates ability to delegate, mentor and supervise
  • Has the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes
  • Is quality focused and can assess risk
  • Ensures conflict is managed appropriately
  • Displays the ability to facilitate change and make decisions
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the services design and coordination process.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the building commissioning and handover process.
  • Demonstrate understanding of process arranging utilities connections to the project.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the NCC and building services related Australian Standards.
  • Shows initiative and adaptability
  • Demonstrates time management, planning and organisation skills
  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills and can easily build rapport
  • Demonstrates administration and financial skills
