A Quality Manager role, built for you 

 

As a Quality Manager at Built, you’ll be an integral member of our project teams delivering work across all built-forms ranging from $100K to $1 billion.

 

Our Quality Managers are across all aspects of our projects and collaborate with all stakeholders make sure everyone succeeds.

The QLD team are currently involved in multiple projects ranging from $10M to $500M, with an enthusiastic individual invited to join the team immediately.

 

The successful candidate will provide direction, support, and advice to the

Queensland Quality & Project Teams to drive the implementation of the

QMS.

Role & Responsibilities:

Quality Management Systems

  • Ensure quality and project staff are appropriately trained in the application of Built’s quality management system.
  • Undertake internal reviews of the quality management system and its use on a regular basis to identify areas of opportunity and continual improvement. 

 

Audit Management

  • Where required, attend internal quality audits on projects.
  • Review internal and external audit reports and present recommendations for system and process changes, as required, to management.

 

Non-Conformances

  • Monitor non-conformances, including those arising from internal and external audits, in order to identify appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

 

Site Set-up

  • Ensure the quality team assists project teams in the nominated business units in setting up site to ensure quality requirements are adhered to, and that project teams are assisted where necessary in undertaking pre-commencement quality risk assessments.

 

Meetings

  • Attend BU Quality Meetings, Quality Leadership Team meetings, Project team meetings as required.

 

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and recommend/deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure all sites in the nominated business units have access to information, assistance, training, and support in their preparation of suitable project quality management systems.
  • Ensure staff are trained and coached on company quality policies, procedures, systems, and processes.

 

Quality Team

  • Facilitate and attend regular meetings with quality resources.
  • Provide quality team resources with coaching and development as required and or requested.
  • Ensure the quality team and project teams are supported and provided with the necessary tools, information, and training to complete their assigned roles.

  • Project management, engineering, or trade background.
  • Is a leader who demonstrates team building capabilities.

  • Ensures conflict is managed appropriately.
  • Displays the ability to facilitate change and make decisions.

  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills and can easily build rapport.
  • Is innovative and has the ability to solve problems.

Selection criteria 

  • Minimum seven (7) year’s work experience in a similar quality management role within the Building and Construction industry. 
  • Completed quality auditor training.
  • Strong involvement and understanding of quality assurance.
