The Opportunity

As the Document Controller you will collaborate closely with the Design Management team to implement document control and design change management protocols, the Senior CA to assist in the subcontract and head contract admin of the project and the Senior Project Manager to manage all practical completion documentation.

Here’s what a typical day might look like for you:

  • Quality Assurance – Assist the design and delivery teams in the submission and approval of samples, maintenance of registers and collation of materials;
  • Managing Subcontractor Documentation – Assist in the management of subcontractor document control requirements, claims and payments;
  • Design – Management and distribution of design documentation ensuring weekly checks are undertaken, follow up issue of updated drawings and handover forms etc.
  • Programming – Ensuring up to date programs are transmitted to all subcontractors, timely submission of cost reports and project reporting;
  • Commercial – Assist with subcontractor payments, creditor invoices and ensure all delivery, labour and day dockets are completed.

 

Working closely with:

  • The Design Management Team to implement document control and design change management protocols
  • Senior Contract Administrator to assist in the subcontract and head contract administration of the project
  • The Senior Project Manager to manage all Practical Completion documentation

 

What we are looking for
Here are the essentials you’ll need for this role:

  • Related work experience in a similar role on major projects
  • Experience within the Sydney construction industry
  • Completion of a diploma or higher qualification in Business Administration or other relevant area qualifications
  • Be able to show longevity with past employers and exemplary references

  • Highly proficient in Aconex, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Distinguishes between confidential and non-confidential matters and treats all with the appropriate level of sensitivity
  • Demonstrated reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments, with an ability to set realistic goals, problem-solve and establish work priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of administrative services including the use of office equipment, keyboarding skills, word-processing and relevant software packages, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and present information in a meaningful manner
  • Exceptional organisation skills and a high degree of flexibility and initiative
  • Experienced and proactive individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
